Founded in 1986, Alfa Advanced Composites has specialised in the manufacturing of Fibre Glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) insulating materials, widely used in:

• Low and High Tension (LT & HT) Switchgear,
• Switchboards
• Motors,
• Transformers, and
• Generators

This critical infrastructure support has positioned Us as a key supplier to the electrical and power sectors.

In 2019, we marked a significant milestone by successfully developing the Body Coil Cylinder and Covers for an MRI scanner, collaborating with a dynamic startup based in Bangalore. This project highlights Alfa’s expanding capabilities in the medical technology sector and its commitment to fostering innovation in emerging industries.

In 2019, Alfa Advanced Composites proudly contributed to India’s defense capabilities by developing and supplying panels and components made from Aramid and Neoprene Rubber. These components, used in armoured vehicles as spall liners, were delivered to the Government of India for critical ballistic protection applications — a testament to Alfa's expertise in high-performance defense materials.

Backing our ambitions is a strong financial foundation, with robust support from the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) — further empowering us to invest in innovation, infrastructure, and customer success.

In our continued pursuit of excellence and readiness to meet growing industry demands, We have  invested INR 50 million over the last six months in expansion and plant modernisation.

As part of this major upgrade, we are installing a fully automatic 4,000-ton hydraulic press with a bed size of 2 meters by 1.8 meters and a specific pressure capacity of 180 bar. This state-of-the-art equipment is set to be operational by June 2022, significantly enhancing our production capacity and precision in manufacturing high-strength composites and ballistic panels.

In addition to machinery, we have also modernized our Prepreg Coating facilities for Polyester, Epoxy, Phenolic Resins, and Rubber compounds. These upgrades allow for:

• Improved quality and consistency,
• Greater production efficiency,
• Enhanced material performance for demanding applications.
